I read Robyn Carr's Virgin River/backlist as my pandemic comfort book. Heck I now consume small town romances from KU because of her books. I am not surprised that she was in the list for most books because she have a healthy backlist.
I am not a huge TV watcher so I only watched the first season. My mom did watch the series and enjoyed it (she is not a big reader). The books are a grittier small town romance, there is a touch of suspense. A lot of her heroes are former military and the town grows overtime. Some of her series overlap so you get to see crossover of the world. The audiobook narrator is Therese Plummer and she is so good.
